Introduction to Ketamine Assisted Therapy

Candace Oglesby is a licensed professional counselor (LCPC) in the state of Maryland and has a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. Candace is the KAP certificate program director at Fluence Training. While her time within group private practice, she also had the opportunity to develop and lead a KAP program for 10 months, which successfully completed six clients. Candace specializes in working with diverse adult populations, specifically women of color, who present with substance use addiction and trauma like symptoms. Candace is an Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) approved consultant and certified in level II of Internal Family Systems (IFS). Candace also specializes in providing culturally sensitive care to black and brown clients who have experienced racial trauma. Candace is the founder and owner of Jurnee Mental Health Consulting, LLC, a consulting business that provides support to individuals and businesses looking to deepen their understanding of mental health. She is also an advocate for providing support and resources to marginalized communities. Within her consulting business, she is a DEI consultant, trainer, facilitator, and board approved supervisor. Candace has also had the opportunity of being a therapist on a clinical trial, studying the effects of psilocybin within cancer patients who had treatment resistant depression. Which if whom, 50% of participants were no longer positive for depression after having one psilocybin experience.
Not only is she a certified psychedelic assisted therapist (ketamine, psilocybin, MDMA, and 5-Meo-DMT)i but she is also a trainer and mentor in the psychedelic community. In addition, Candace is a community ambassador for Black Therapist Rock (BTR) which is a non-profit organization that increases awareness of social and psychological issues impacting vulnerable communities and reducing stigma related to mental health. She is also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated. When Candace is not acting as psychotherapist, CEO, community ambassador, and volunteer she is spending time with her fiancée, dog, family, and friends.
